design shadow on: MILLWORK PROFILES

Today for a meeting I needed to have millwork profiles – crown, base, wainscot – to start the discussion on what we call “vocabulary” of the building. These are the parts and pieces that give the building its character and personality. Luckily I have been thinking about this for sometime as we have been developing the interior architectural spaces. I have been sketching here and there, around the house, in various meetings and trying out different options, under the style and direction the Owner has requested.

So after all that thought process, in-spite of all the other meeting preparations going on, I was able to knock out three options for each profile, drawn to scale for them to review and discuss.
